Relay for Life 2015 is THIS Friday at West High’s track. There are a ton of activities planned including a movie and fireworks after dark. There will also be a very touching luminaria ceremony just after dark before the fireworks. You definitely want to be there this Friday night!
I have been involved heavily this year with the marketing and PR team and making sure everyone knows where to be and when to be there. It has been a very challenging, yet soon to be rewarding experience. I have got to meet a lot of cool people, and have got to hear a lot of stories from people who have all been affected by cancer.
Included in those stories are two very cool people that lead the Relay For Life of Yellowstone County for 2015, Steve Solberg and Robin Hanel. Big J got to sit down with both of them this week to talk about their stories, their passion, and why you should be at Relay for Life on Friday. Check out this incredible video.
In addition to Steve and Robin, we also got to hear from one of this year’s Grand Marshalls on The Big J Show this week. Morgan Mcquillan is a cancer survivor who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer) when she was 5 years old. Check out her story:
As exhausting as the past 6 months has been moving towards this year’s Relay, I am even more excited for the next 12 months until the 2016 Relay For Life.
